Author Interview: Tim Pond – The Three Insights

1. What excites you most about your book’s topic? Why did you choose it?

The idea that you shouldn’t look for happiness. Instead, you should look for purpose. Finding your unique purpose and living it makes you happy on most days. And helps you make a difference.

2. How long did the book take you from start to finish?

I realize now that I have been preparing for this book for my whole life. The actual planning, researching and writing process took about three years.

3. What aspect of writing the book did you find particularly challenging?

The biggest challenge for me was writing the descriptive elements of the manuscript. I hadn’t written fiction for fifteen years or so.

4. What surprised you the most about the book writing process?

The fact that how challenging it was to create a coherent and sound framework. I created the manuscript slowly like a challenging puzzle, piece by piece.

5. Did you have any favorite experiences when writing your book?

Yes, when I gradually gained my own Three Insights!
I wrote the manuscript a couple of times in a spa hotel. I stayed there about 3 days a row. I started to write in the morning, wrote it for 8-10 hours, and then went to spa to relax.

6. What do you hope your readers will gain from reading your book?

The Three Insights! I hope they will find their unique purpose and deeper meaning in their lives.

7. What projects are you currently working on?

Creating product extensions of The Three Insights, writing articles, and studying and doing Internet marketing.

8. Is writing your sole career? If not, what else do you do?

No, it is not. I’m also a coach, speaker and Internet marketer too, it seems I coach individuals and teams on career planning and self-improvement.

9. Did you do any research for your books, or did you write from experience?

During the past 15 years I have read at least 100 books about happiness and psychology of success. I have got a great number of great ideas from them and I own a lot to many authors.

10. How did you come up with your title?

I prefer short and compact titles. It was easy to come up with the title, as The Three Insights are the main theme of my book.

11. What books have influenced you the most?

There are so many of them! The books by Wayne W. Dyer, Neal Donald Walsch, Eckhart Tolle and Anthony de Mello, to name a few.

12. Who was your publisher and why did you choose them?

Lulu Publishing. I wanted to self-publish and launch the book fast. Furthermore, I wanted to study Internet marketing and market The Three Insights myself.
