FASCINATING AUTHORS: What excites you most about your book’s topic?
Author: There was a time when a book such as mine could not be written, the subject too taboo. But it was written during greatest time in medical history and while research trials, scientists experiments and pharmaceuticals stop the gap, books such as mine clarify in a human way … the experience.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: Why did you choose it?
Author: My topic was unearthed during late life stress and familial circumstance and in the middle of a mental breakdown, hypergraphia.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: How long did the book take you from start to finish? Author: My book was written in three years. The editing process took about a year, press ten weeks.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: What aspect of writing the book did you find particularly challenging?
Author: Life was very intense during that time. I wrote what I lived and it was surreal.
FASCINATING AUTHOR: What surprised you the most about the book writing process?
Author: I was blessed, the process was uncomplicated, painfully comfortable.
FASCINATING AUTHOR: Did you have any favorite experiences when writing your
book?
Author: My daughter was my first editor. It was wonderful of her to accommodate me in
such a way. My husband, bless him. My reviewer, he analyzed and critiqued without the
worry of repercussion even when it was within the realm of possibility.
FASCINATING AUTHOR: What do you hope your readers will gain from reading your
book?
Author: I pray that my book will offer support and education to those who suffer with
familial dysfunction and mental illness.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: What projects are you currently working on?
Author: I am working on my next book. A timely reflection of hope, faith and charity.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: Is writing your sole career? If not, what else do you do? Author: Unfortunately I am not able to write full time. We are self-employed, I am a wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver.
FASCINATING AUTHOR: Did you do any research for your books, or did you write from experience?
Author: My book is written greatly from experience. Throughout the book there is information and reference for support and understanding about the malady of mental illness.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: How did you come up with your title?
Author: I was seated in front of her and as I struggled to articulate my feelings, the title was born. It was hers. She psychiatrist and I patient, forevermore.
FASCINATING AUTHORS: What books have influenced you the most?
Author: I am most interested in reading about people who strive to overcome adversity.
